“I’ve just cleaned my soft top and applied Reviver but the colour result is not as black as I wanted, have I done something wrong?”
We are sorry to hear you are not satisfied with the results after using Renovo products. Our products are simple and effective with their application if all instructions are followed.
There are a few reasons why this may have happened, you may just need another coat of the Soft Top Reviver, you may have over stretched the Reviver that you have applied i.e. not applied the Reviver liberally enough. Lastly the Reviver has only been able to partially soak in because it was applied on a day that was too hot or it was applied to a soft top that had some proofer on it so it was not able to soak in effectively.
Of course if you were trying to change the colour of your soft top from a much lighter different colour, you would need more than the recommended one or two coats but not more than three to achieve this.
Mist spray the top and then paint on the Fabric Soft Top Cleaner leave the solution to dry for approximately one hour, this is the optimum time for the active ingredients to work. Using hand hot water the surface should then be scrubbed with a bristle brush being careful around stitched areas and windows. It is essential to use hand hot water! Finish by rinsing off with water. Repeat the whole process as necessary.
I hope this was helpful to you and of course if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
