“My car’s roof exterior is in good condition but the interior is faded where it is folded back, plus faint mildew marks. I want to restore the inside of the roof only, is there a product for this?”
Brilliant question! I am not sure that many of our customers are aware that it is possible to use our products on the interior, as long as it is fabric! You can use our Fabric Soft Top Cleaner to give the inner top a good clean, however, I would recommend not using the soft bristle brush as per the instructions on the bottle, as you risk damaging the material. Instead, I would suggest using a sponge.
You can then proceed with using the Renovo Soft Top Reviver on the interior of the soft top (ONLY IF LINED!) to restore the faded colour and help mask any scarring that the mould may have left. You will need to mask off areas of the interior that you do not want to be contacted by the Fabric Soft Top Cleaner and Soft Top Reviver.
You must ensure that the interior is allowed to thoroughly dry after cleaning, before using Reviver and after Reviver has been applied.
It is up to you whether you wish to go on and protect the interior of the roof by painting on the Ultra Proofer, however, I would suggest this is not really necessary, as the exterior of the soft top should already be protected.
I hope you found this information helpful, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions. Don’t forget all of our products are available for purchase via our website:
